The schoolwide, Hayward Perseverance cup went to Zara Clark in He Puna Oranga this week. Zara always gives everything she does at school 100%! Even with tricky challenges, Zara never gives up. Ka pai Zara!
This week we have been learning how to write a narrative. Miss. Tamia worked so hard and did such a great job that she won the 'Author Of The Week' this week. Ka pai, Tamia! We are proud of your effort!!
The children of He Puna Oranga and He Puna Kōtuitui are having a bit of an adventure at the moment by 'camping-out' in the hall while our classrooms are being renovated. We are all really excited to see what our brand new classrooms will look like next Term! In the meantime we are getting to do lots of fun things together in the hall... like making our own Play Dough.
We all got a BIG surprise when a certain special giraffe turned up at the Carlton Disco! Some of the children from He Puna Oranga were lucky enough to get their photo taken with Harold.
We got to learn about forces - push, pull and friction. They used the 3 billy goats gruff to teach us about it. They were really funny. The troll kept farting.
This week we have been getting to know our new classmates and our class environment. We are going to make a class treaty of what it means to be in Room 5.
Room 5 has had a great start to 2018. We loved seeing our new friends and getting to explore our classroom. We haven't taken any pictures of ourselves and our learning but we promised to do so next week. Make sure to come and check out our learning every week. This week and next, we are focusing on how to enjoy being learners and kind friends. We are Super Kids in training!
