This morning when we got to school we were in for a BIG surprise...


The children enjoyed writing stories to explain what had gone on in their akomanga (classroom).

(Laken B) Over the last couple of weeks the students have worked hard on a shared reading challenge. We have... Listened to the story for enjoyment of this classic tale. Unpacked the moral of the story as well as some of the tricky / new vocabulary in the story. Completed a Cloze reading activity (where the students have to replace words taken out of the story by choosing from the words in a box at the top of the page). Sequenced parts of the story (back) into the correct order. Illustrated the story- taking care to reread the sections of the story they were illustrating so as to match correct / detailed illustrations with the text.
