The children of He Puna Kōtuitui worked hard to write passionate letters to Mr Stuart Nash, M.P. to plead with him to make a law change to help save New Zealand's Maui dolphin and look what has just appeared in the news... !! Sequenced parts of the story (back) into the correct order. Illustrated the story- taking care to reread the sections of the story they were illustrating so as to match correct / detailed illustrations with the text. Created a GLOSSARY to unpack new / tricky vocabulary from the text. Answered questions about the text; e.g., What is a moral? What is the moral of ...
